The Ottawa Senators announced that Steve Staios will work as president of hockey operations.

Steve joined Ottawa today after quitting his position as special adviser on the Edmonton Oilers’ hockey operations team.
The Canadian native previously served as the president and GM of the Ontario Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs from 2016-22, including a period of being the president in 2015. Sens’ new majority owner, Michael Andlauer, owns the Bulldogs organization.
Staios became the player development adviser of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2012 and, 2 years later, was appointed as manager of player development before joining the franchise’s coaching staff to help the interim head coach in 2015.
Steve has played more than 1,000 matches in the NHL as he was part of 6 different franchises.
