Aaron admitted that the Jets are to be blamed for the defeat.

This time, the NY Jets QB Aaron Rodgers completed a pass on his 4th snap of the campaign – a shovel to RB Breece Hall, who promptly fumbled.

It was that kind of a campaign opener for Aaron, whose highly anticipated comeback was spoiled by mistakes in a 32-19 defeat against the 49ers on MFN at the Bay.

“San Francisco is a championship-level group — and I’m optimistic we see them then,” Aaron shared of the 49ers, finishing his postmatch news conference with hope.

The Jets quarterback, who tore his left Achilles on the 4th snap of the 2023 campaign, saw his 1st extensive action in 20 months. Rodgers became the 22nd QB in the NFL to compete after his 40th birthday.

Aaron added that the challenges for the season-opener were many – travel-wise and schedule-wise, but he didn’t want to blame them for the defeat.

New York manager Robert Saleh shared that the team will fix as soon as possible the defensive breakdowns that cost the Jets a lot at Levi’s Stadium.
