Kasper Schmeichel gave his high opinion of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and backed him up to have a success at Manchester United.
The British billionaire is closing in on buying a 25% stake from the Red Devils, a highly-anticipated move, which dates back to November 2022.
Schmeichel spent a season with Nice before his contract was terminated, but he has a very fond memories of Ratcliffe’s management.
“It was a difficult year (at Nice),” Schmeichel said. “But without Jim, without Dave Brailsford (Ineos Director of Sport) and Josh Thompson I wouldn’t have been able to get through it.”
“They were incredible, so supportive. I know first hand they have massive ambitions for Man United if they are to get it.”
Schmeichel has shared his advice to the United’s supporters that the process requires time, which they must give to their new potential owners.
