The Atlanta Braves came out on top against the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 in a tightly-contested game on Thursday night.

It was Ronald Acuna Jr, who stole the headlines with a brilliant performance, which saw him become the first man with 30 homers and 60 stolen bases in a season.

The 25-year-old got 3 hits and sent a 429-foot shot into the left-field pavilion off Lance Lynn (10-10) in a six-run second inning for his third career grand slam.

The Braves took on the initiative early on, establishing a staggering 7-1 lead, which proved to be enough.

Mookie Betts from the Dodgers established three0run opposite-field drive to right to reduce the deficit to 7-4.

After Betts flied out to deep right leading off the ninth, Freddie Freeman walked and Will Smith singled, putting the potential tying and winning runs aboard. But Max Muncy flied out and Iglesias got his 27th save in 29 chances, his 18th in a row.

Michael Busch homered off Joe Jimenez in the seventh and Betts hit a solo shots that cut the Dodgers’ deficit to 8-6.

Max Muncy went deep leading off the eighth, wrapping up the final scoreline of 8-7.
