Ten Hag rules out Achilles injury for Martinez

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said he still doesn’t know what’s the extend of Lisandro Martinez’s injury in Europa League 1/4-finals first leg against Sevilla, finished 2-2.

There was speculation Martinez had suffered a serious Achilles injury which would end his season.

“I cannot tell what it is, but is not an Achilles,” the Dutchman told reporters after the game. “I have spoken with him and he is okay and he is calm.”

United were leading 2-0 late in the game at Old Trafford, but had to settle for a 2-2 draw after conceding two own goals and ending up with 10 men because of use of all substitutes before Lisandro’s injury.
