Maple Leafs played outside North America for the first time in their history

Toronto defeated Minnesota 4-3 in overtime in a NHL regular season game that was held in Stockholm, Sweden as part of the NHL Global Series.

Swedish forward William Nylander scored the game-winning goal 3:09 into overtime in front of his home crowd, and Toronto extended its winning streak to four games. For Nylander, this was the 12th goal of the season.

The отхер goals for the winners came from Auston Matthews in the 13th minute, Matthew Nice in the 19th and Morgan Reilly in the 45th. Goaltender Joseph Wall stopped 33 shots for Toronto. Maple Leafs played outside of North America for the first time in its more than 100-year history.

John Merrill, Jake Middleton and Mats Zuccarello scored for Minnesota, and the team suffered its fifth straight defeat.
