All teams in Group "E" have three points ahead of Belgium - Romania clash on Saturday

Ukraine produced a thrilling second-half comeback to beat Slovakia 2-1 in Düsseldorf, keeping their Euro 2024 campaign alive thanks to Roman Yaremchuk’s late winner off the bench.

Slovakia, who stunned Belgium 1-0 in their opening game, had an impressive first half with Ivan Schranz scoring his second goal in as many games to give them a deserved lead.

Ukraine showed signs of life before the break, with Oleksandr Tymchyk rattling the post and it was expected when the equalizer came early in the second half. Mykola Shaparenko found the back of the net, shifting the momentum and the decisive moment arrived with 10 minutes remaining when Yaremchuk’s delightful cushioned touch and finish completed the comeback, sending the yellow-clad supporters wild.

This result leaves Group E wide open, with Ukraine, Slovakia, and Romania all on three points, while Belgium remains on zero ahead of Saturday’s clash between Belgium and Romania.
