The United States Soccer Federation has reportedly identified Jürgen Klopp as the top candidate for the national team head coach position following the dismissal of Gregg Berhalter.
The Independent reports that the federation has already reached out to Klopp in hopes of securing his services. The decision comes after the USA’s disappointing performance in the Copa America, where they failed to advance past the group stage despite being the host nation.

Jürgen Klopp, known for his successful tenure at Liverpool, where he won the Premier League, Champions League, and several other titles, is currently without a managerial position after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.
The United States is preparing to co-host the 2026 World Cup with Canada and Mexico, and they aim to make a significant impact on home soil. Bringing in a high-profile coach like Klopp is seen as a crucial step towards achieving that goal.
