Ex-Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has responded to speculation linking him to becoming the boss of his home nation after Germany’s 1/16 finals loss against Paraguay.
The former Reds manager claimed now is not the right time to talk about replacing Julian Nagelsmann, while also criticizing the national team and demanding changes.
Klopp was asked directly what he thinks about becoming the manager of Germany and helping his nation after the disastrous elimination at the World Cup.
Jürgen shared that about the topic: “I haven’t thought about this yet. I know when the head coaching role in Germany is discussed, my name is always mentioned in some form. But now it’s not the right time to discuss it. I have nothing to share about those rumors at the moment. I have a job, and I like it.”
While Julian remains under deal for 2 more years, Germany’s disappointing World Cup performance started discussions in the country about his role as the head coach.
Klopp, however, had criticism for Germany as he revealed that he is very disappointed that the team didn’t attack on the wings, as everyone knows how well the players can perform there.
