The USA Basketball team has begun its journey to the Paris Olympics with a strong start, securing an 86-72 victory over Canada in their first practice game.
The first starting lineup from U.S. coach Steve Kerr was Stephen Curry, Jrue Holiday, Devin Booker, LeBron James and Joel Embiid.

Key performances came from Anthony Davis, who led the team with 13 points, and Stephen Curry, who contributed 12 points. Jrue Holiday also made a significant impact with 11 points.
For Canada, RJ Barrett was the top scorer with 12 points, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dillon Brooks, who each scored 10 points.
The game attracted significant attention, with former President Barack Obama among the spectators, alongside a host of NBA coaches and notable figures from USA Basketball. The event was part of the federation’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which saw the attendance of legends such as Jerry Colangelo, Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Dawn Staley, Lisa Leslie, Teresa Edwards, Swin Cash, and Lindsay Whalen.
The attendance was remarkable, with a record-setting 20,757 fans filling T-Mobile Arena, the highest for any game at the venue, according to USA Basketball.
