RJ Barrett notched a 3-pointer with less than 2 seconds on the clock remaining in OT, and the Toronto Raptors pushed their East Conference 1st-round postseason matchup to a 7th match by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-110.
Evan Mobley had an opportunity to win it for the Cavs, but his 3-point shot bounced off the front of the rim.
Scottie Barnes finished with 25 points and 14 assists, Barrett and Ja’Kobe Walter each notched 24, and Collin Murray-Boyles scored 17 as the Raptors survived after blowing an 11-point lead in the 4th quarter.
Game 7 is in Cleveland at the end of the weekend. The home organization has triumphed in all 6 matches so far in the matchup.
“That’s why it’s so important to have the home court advantage,” Cleveland boss Kenny Atkinson shared. “We knew that it was going to be tough. Now we must recover and focus on the deciding game in front of our fans.”
Toronto is yet to win in 10 postseason matches in Cleveland, including 3 in the current series.
Barnes shared that the Raptors must be themselves in the upcoming match and try to win the series.
