Max Verstappen was full of praise for his team after they achieved their 12th consecutive win, which put the one ahead of the record, previously held by McLaren.
Verstappen cruised to yet another victory, as he is so accustomed to these days, despite losing out to Lewis Hamilton in qualifying. The Dutchman himself is edging closer to a historic moment as he clinched his 7th consecutive win, which puts him 2 away from the record, set by Sebastian Vettel.
“12 wins in a row is just incredible. What we’ve been doing for the last two years has been unbelievable. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going for a long time.” Verstappen said.
“Also, just to work with the whole team is very enjoyable. It’s always good to look into [what happened in qualifying] yesterday, for example, to keep pushing, always wanting to do better, but days like this are just perfect.”
Verstappen is a staggering 110 points in front of second-placed man Sergio Perez and is well on his way for a third consecutive title.
