West Ham United have dismissed head coach Julen Lopetegui after just 6 months at charge.
The ex-Wolverhampton manager Lopetegui (58) was hired in May after the departure of David Moyes but officially became the head coach of the team at the beginning of July.

The Hammers triumphed in just 6 EPL matches during the Spaniard’s time at the club.
Past weekend’s 4-1 loss against Man City at Etihad was 9th defeat in 20 Premier League matches in the current campaign and left the team 14th – only 7 points ahead of the relegation zone.
The team have discussed with ex-Chelsea and Brighton head coach Graham Potter to replace the Spaniard, at 1st with a short-team contract.
The EPL team shared this on social media: “The 1st half of the campaign has not aligned with the team’s ambitions, and that’s why we decided to make a change.
The board of West Ham United would like to thank the Spaniard and his team for what they did during their time at the club and wish them all the best in the future.”
Almost certainly Potter will be the new boss of the Hammers.
