Bad news for the Chicago team as they lose Clevinger to injury and head-coach Grifol

The Chicago Whites Sox came out on top against the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4 to end 3-game losing streak on Wednesday night.

Despite some setbacks the Chicago team kept its focus and eventually prevailed. Clint Frazier singled in the go-ahead run in the eight inning.

Jake Burger homered twice with a two-run shot that equalled the game at 4.

It was a sorrow night for Mike Clevinger, who had to come out in the fifth inning with biceps soreness, while manager Pedro Grifol was sent to the stands after arguing with home plate umpire.

“That was a gutsy, gutsy win,” said Grifol, who watched part of the game from his office. “This is a much-needed win in a tough place to play.”

Reynaldo Lopez finished the job with a perfect inning.
