Grant Williams equaled his all-time career high with 25 points and seven 3-pointers to push Dallas Mavericks towards a 114-105 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night to improve to 4-0 record for the start of the season for the first time in 17 years
Tim Hardaway Jr. added 24 points and seven 3-pointers off the bench for Dallas, which led 99-98 with 4:08 left on the clock and made a great 10-2 run.
Luka Doncic, who went into play leading the NBA with a 39-point average, was way under his mark and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Doncic was 1 for 8 from the 3-point shoot while Kyrie Irving missed his second consecutive game because of a sprained left foot.
Zach LaVine scored 22 points for Chicago but just five in the second half. Nikola Vucevic had 21 points and a season-high 20 rebounds.
