German Daniel Altmaier qualified for the third round of Roland Garros as he served up one of the sensations of the day, knocking out No. 8 seed Jannik Sinner.
The two had an outstanding match that lasted about 5 and a half hours. Of course, the outcome came after five sets and many twists and turns.

With his resounding victory No.79 in the ATP rankings, Altmaier secured a match with Grigor Dimitrov. Earlier in the day, the Bulgarian teliminated Emil Ruusuvuori after a clean 3:0 set win.
