Anaheim Ducks pick Carlsson 2nd overall

The Anaheim Ducks shared before the draft that they would select a center with the 2^nd overall selection, but they didn’t share who that would be.

The public thought that that would be Adam Fantilli, but Anaheim surprised them and added him to their roster Leo Carlsson, as that was the 1^st surprise in the 2023 NHL Draft after it was certain that Chicago Blackhawks would pick 1^st Connor Bedard.

“I talked with the Ducks yesterday,” Leo shared with the media after he was drafted. “I was very positive.”
