The world number 6 also showed a better game in the tiebreak of the second set, in which he won with 10:8 points.

Felix Auger-Aliassime will be the favorite to win against Cerundolo. The Canadian reached the ¼-finals of Indian Wells earlier this month and will try to reach at least this round in Miami.
