Mike decided to leave his position as head coach of Columbus.

Mike Babcock will no longer be at the helm of the Columbus Blue Jackets after he resigned today, with the NHL organization sharing that everything between the 2 parties is already finished.

Blue Jackets named associate coach Pascal Vincent as the new manager, as he inked a 2-year deal through the next campaign.

“It was not easy for everyone, but 1 thing we felt it necessary to ensure that everything will be about the franchise and the players for the upcoming campaign,” Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen shared. “On behalf of the entire team, we are grateful for what Babcock did in his time with our organization and the professionalism he has shown working together to ensure that he will leave his position with dignity.”

Mike got into a scandal and was probed by the NHLPA as it was reported that the head coach violated players’ privacy when he demanded to see photos on their smartphones.
