Colin (35) was picked by the San Francisco 49ers with the 36th overall selection at the NFL Draft in 2011.
The ex-Nevada Wolf Pack pivot appeared in 3 matches in his rookie campaign before supplanting long-time starter Alex Smith next year, when he led San Francisco to the Super Bowl.
Kaepernick became QB in the 2013 campaign when he threw for 3,197 yards, 21 TDs, and 8 interceptions. The American finished with 524 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground.
Colin threw a career-high in passing yards and rushing yards the following campaign.
He was on the field professionally for the last time in the 2016 campaign, when he became famous worldwide for refusing to stand for the American national anthem in protest against racism.
