A few days after squandering a 3-TD lead to mark their 14th defeat in a row, the Chicago Bears put an end to the longest losing streak in its history with a 40-20 victory against the Washington Commanders on TNF.
Almost 1 year had passed since the Bears’ last win. How much does the franchise need this victory after 0-4 at the beginning of the season because of off-field drama and poor on-field performances?

“It’s a relief to win. Finally, I’m not going to lie,” TE Cole Kmet shared. “In my opinion, the emotion I felt literally until … the clock expired was a relief. It’s been almost a year to get this 1st victory. We’ve got talented players and just got to put it together. These types of performances can continue, but we have to be able to execute and be in sync as a team.”
