The right-back picked up the injury in Inter’s game against Atalanta on Saturday and it was clear from first sight that it looks unpleasant.
Pavard was all in pain, but after medical treatment on the pitch the issue seemed to heal as the 27-year-old even ran to his teammates to celebrate the opening goal, despite wearing a protective brace.
But after scans it was revealed the issue is not so small and Pavard will have to be sidelined for extensive period of time. The good news for him and Inter is that there is no damage to the ligaments.
The Italian team will have to do without their key player in the upcoming matches against Frosinone in Serie A and RB Salzburg in the Champions League. On top of that, the right-back will miss big games against Juventus and Napoli after the international break.
