Hauser was excellent beyond the arch, scoring seven out of his eight 3-point shots

Sam Hauser was in scintillating form, sinking seven of his eight 3-point attempts and tallying 23 points to propel the Boston Celtics to their ninth consecutive victory, defeating the Chicago Bulls 124-113 on Saturday night.

Jayson Tatum contributed 26 points and six assists, while Al Horford chipped in with 23 points and eight rebounds for the Celtics (57-14), who have demonstrated resilience by employing eight different starting lineups during their impressive winning streak. Boston, now boasting a six-game road winning streak, showcased their depth and adaptability throughout the game.

Despite Chicago narrowing the gap to six points, 113-107, with 4:35 remaining, Boston swiftly extended their lead to double digits, sealing the victory with a timely basket from Tatum at the 3:04 mark.

DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls’ effort with 28 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, while Alex Caruso, Ayo Dosunmu, and Nikola Vucevic contributed 14 points each for Chicago (34-37). Coby White added 11 points and 10 assists as the Bulls shot an impressive 57.3% from the field.

Luke Kornet dominated the boards with 13 rebounds for Boston, who faced the challenge without three starters: Jaylen Brown (ankle), Jrue Holiday (AC joint sprain), and Kristaps Porzingis (right hamstring). Despite the absences, the Celtics connected on 21 of their 48 attempts from beyond the arc.

Despite Chicago’s strong first-half shooting performance, trailing 66-60 at halftime, they struggled to contain Hauser’s long-range shooting prowess, who drained four 3-pointers in the opening half. Although the Bulls briefly took the lead in the third quarter, Boston maintained control, entering the final quarter with a 95-92 advantage, ultimately securing the win to extend their remarkable winning streak.
