Boston shared the center will miss tomorrow’s Game 5 at TD Garden because of the injury but did not provide a timetable when we will see him on the court again.
The soleus (calf) strain is the same problem that has kept Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the playoffs.
Kristaps sustained the problem in the 1st half of Monday’s victory in Florida. Porzingis appeared to tweak something after catching a pass from Jaylen Brown near the end of the 2nd quarter. The center injury was non-contact. After the match, he slowly left the visiting locker room area with a walking boot on his right foot.
Boston is up 3-1 in the best-of-7 and can win the 1st-round postseason matchup in the Eastern Conference against the Miami Heat with a victory tomorrow at their venue.
