Celtics, after playing awful in its 1st opportunity to close this matchup at the end of the week, responded with a huge win at TD Garden behind phenomenals performances from both Tatum and Brown, which allowed the Celtics to decide the match early – the same scenario like in 2008 when Celtics humiliated Lakers in Game 6 at the same venue to win their last title.
Boston had a 21-point lead after the 1st half as Kristaps Porzingis, who missed the previous 2 matches from the series, helped as the center checked into the court midway through the 1st quarter.
Kyrie Irving again struggled against his ex-team as he scored only 15 points on 5-for-16 shooting tonight.
