The Club World Cup draw has taken place at an official ceremony in Jeddah on Tuesday.
Seven teams will be involved in the event that will take place between 12-22 December in Saudi Arabia.
Manchester City, who are the firm favorites in the tournament will face either Club Leon or Otawa Reds.
If Pep Guardiola men advance to the final then they will have 4 potential opponents – the Copa Libertadores champions, Al Ahly, Al-Ittihad or Auckland City.
This will be the 20th Fifa Club World Cup and the last one in its current format, with the competition expanding to 32 teams in 2025.
The European teams have dominated the field with consecutive victories in the last 10 years. Real Madrid were triumphant last year, defeating Al-Hilal 5-3 in the final in Rabat, Marocco.
