Djokovic overcomes problems to eliminate Tsitsipas in Paris

Novak Djokovic eliminated Stefanos Tsitsipas 2-0 sets despite needing a medical timeout and playing through pain in most part of the 2^nd set to become the oldest player to reach the ½ finals at the Olympics.

One break point was enough for the Serbian to win the 1^st set 6-3 as he didn’t give any break opportunities to Tsitsipas. However, in the 2^nd set, Nole sustained a problem in his leg that resulted to Stefanos winning the 1^st 4 games. Despite that, the Greek player failed to win the set as Djokovic was able to broke Tsitsipas’ serve twice and to force a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Stefanos lost his serve 4 times and Djokovic won the set 7-3 points and closed the match in straight sets and reach the semifinals on singles at the tennis tournament on clay at the Olympics in Paris.
