One break point was enough for the Serbian to win the 1st set 6-3 as he didn’t give any break opportunities to Tsitsipas. However, in the 2nd set, Nole sustained a problem in his leg that resulted to Stefanos winning the 1st 4 games. Despite that, the Greek player failed to win the set as Djokovic was able to broke Tsitsipas’ serve twice and to force a tiebreak.
In the tiebreak, Stefanos lost his serve 4 times and Djokovic won the set 7-3 points and closed the match in straight sets and reach the semifinals on singles at the tennis tournament on clay at the Olympics in Paris.
The Serbian will play against Lorenzo Musetti as Djokovic is only 2 matches away from winning his 1st gold medal.
