An early goal in the fifth minute stunned the league leaders and gave the hosts the lead.

However, a swift response from Dortmund saw them equalize as early as the 7th minute with Karim Adeyemi’s strike.

From then onwards the visitors had most of the possession and looked set to leave with the three points as they were the ones creating meaningful chances in front of goal.

But it wasn’t to be as Bochum held bravely to a 1-1 draw and gave Borussia a major headache.

The missed win is a major blow to the yellow team’s title aspiration as it shifts the pendulum once again towards Bayern Munich, who play Hertha on Sunday. If the Bavarians win, they will leapfrog Dortmund in the table with 1 point and 4 games left to play in one of the most tightly contested Bundesliga titles in recent history.
