Draymond Greene has been suspended for Game 3 of the playoffs for his double foul on Kings Domantas Sabonis in their clash in Game 2.
With 7:03 remaining in the fourth quarter against Sacramento on Monday, Green was accussed of stomping on Sabonis’s chest after the Kings forward found himself on the floor, and subsequently wrapped his arms around Green’s ankle. Referees gave Green a flagrant-2 foul, meaning he was automatically ejected, while Sabonis was given a technical foul.
Green will miss Game 3 on Thursday at the Chase Center with the Warriors, which is another blow to the Warriors ambitions, who are currently down 2–0 for the first time in the playoffs during the Steph Curry era.
The decision was made by executive vice president of basketball operations Joe Dumars, with the league stating Green’s suspension stems from his “history of unsportsmanlike acts.”
