The Atlanta Falcons placed WR Rondale Moore on the reserve/injured list today due to a campaign-ending knee problem.
The wide receiver was carted off during a joint practice yesterday with Miami in Florida. An air cast was placed on Rondale’s right knee, and the WR was taken to an on-site medical facility.
The problem was sustained during a passing play when rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. hit WR Josh Ali on the right side of the end zone during 11-on-11 drills.
Rondale (24) was acquired in an exchange with the Cardinals a few months ago for QB Desmond Ridder, who was the Falcons’ primary starter under center in the past campaign.
On the 1st Atlanta depth chart of the year, Rondale was labeled as the 4th WR on the franchise and 2nd in the slot.
The Falcons re-inked punter Ryan Sanborn, who had spent most of the offseason with the team.
