The American tennis player won the clash from the 1/8 finals.

Taylor Fritz, world number 9, defeated world number 44, Andy Murray, in a clash that lasted more than 3 hours, and the player from the USA advanced to the ¼ finals in Washington.

Murray triumphed in the 1st set after both players converted 1 break and forced a tiebreak. The player from Great Britain dominated in the tiebreak and won 7-2 points.

Only one break was enough for Fritz to win the 2nd set 6-3 as Murray had one chance to break his opponent’s serve, but the American saved it.
