Kieran McKenna's side showed their great form and deservedly is back in England's top flight

Ipswich Town celebrated a triumphant return to the Premier League after a 20-year absence, securing promotion in style with a convincing victory over relegated Huddersfield at a jubilant Portman Road.

Wales international Wes Burns ignited the celebrations with a first-half goal, swiftly followed by Omari Hutchinson’s strike early in the second half, extending Ipswich’s lead.

Entering the match needing only a point to seal promotion, Kieran McKenna’s side displayed relentless attacking prowess, dominating much of the game and leaving Huddersfield struggling to mount any significant threat.

The result not only propelled Ipswich back into the top flight but also confirmed Huddersfield’s relegation to League One, marking their first descent to the third tier in over a decade.

Ipswich capped off their remarkable season with an impressive tally of 96 points, falling just one short of champions Leicester. Their achievement marks a significant milestone, as they become the first team since Southampton in 2011-12 to achieve consecutive promotions from the third tier to the Premier League.
