Napoli returned to winning ways in Serie A after beating Cagliari 2-1 in a game of the 16th round of the Italian championship. All three goals came in the second half in the span of six minutes.
Napoli took the lead in the 69th minute when Mario Rui crossed into the box, where Victor Osimhen took a shot – Suffet tried to save, but the ball still flew into his net.
The visitors didn’t need much time to get back into the game. In the 72nd minute, Zito Luvumbo dealt with Napoli’s defense and crossed to Leonardo Pavoletti, who equalized at Diego Armando Maradona.
The exchange of goals continued just two minutes later. In the 75th minute, Osimhen showed technique in the penalty area – he controlled his chest, made three kick-ups with his knee before taking the ball with his head and passed between two defenders and sending it to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored for 2:1.
With the win, Napoli returned in top 4 at least until Sunday, as they now have 27 points – two more than Roma on fifth.
