The star player was unquestionably LeBron James, who bagged home 36 points, along with eight 3-pointers from 14 attempts.
Anthony Davis finished the game with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals. Six Lakers players managed to bag a double-figure points.
With this win, the Los Angeles team clinched the 7th best record in the Western Conference. If they are victorious against Minnesota they will be officialy the seventh-seeded team in the West playoffs structure.
The Lakers had a very poor start to the season, but managed to turn things around as they look to re-establish themselves as a top-tier team after missing the playoffs last year.
“We obviously had a very, very slow start,” James said, referring to LA’s worrisome 2-10 start to the season.
“We had games that we could have won, we had games that we should have won. We had some things that didn’t go our way. So to know where we are today, you can be happy about that but not satisfied.”
