Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders have reached an agreement on a 3-year contract with a 4-year franchise option to be the organization’s new boss.
Pete (73) is 1 of 4 head coaches to have led franchises to both a college football national championship and the Super Bowl. The remaining managers are Barry Switzer, Jimmy Johnson, and Jim Harbaugh.
He helped shape USC into a national champion, and then he went to the Seahawks and spent 14 campaigns with the team. Seattle appeared 10 times in the postseason during his time and played at 2 conference championships and the organization’s only Super Bowl triumph.

Las Vegas dismissed Antonio Pierce after his 1st full campaign as boss earlier this month as he finished 4-13.
Carroll will be Las Vegas’ 5th manager since relocating to Las Vegas from Oakland 5 years ago and their 9th since Mark Davis became owner after the death of his father in 2011.
Pete is the winningest manager in the Seahawks history, with a record of 137-89-1 and 10 postseason wins. He also led the Jets and the Patriots during his career in the NFL.
