Los Angeles Clippers’ forward, Kawhi Leonard, has inked a new three-year deal worth $152.4 million, as confirmed by the National Basketball Association (NBA) club.
The contract will keep the 32-year-old Leonard with the team until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. The former player for San Antonio and Toronto had an option in his contract to automatically extend it for another year after the current season, but instead, he opted for a longer-term solution, bringing him nearly $100 million more.
Sources say there is no player option in Kawhi Leonard’s new deal, which is about $8.5 million under the maximum salary amount for his three years.
