Liverpool beat Ipswich 2-0 in Slot’s EPL debut

Liverpool won against newly-promoted Ipswich 2-0 at Portman Road and started positively in the debut game of Arne Slot at the helm of the team in the Premier League after Klopp left at the end of the past season.

In the 1^st half, the match was very balanced as even we can say that Ipswich had the greater chances to score, but the team lacked precision, and the result remained unchanged.

However, in the 2^nd half, Liverpool dominated as Diogo Jota missed a golden chance as his header from the penalty area didn’t find the net. However, a few minutes later, the Portuguese forward compensated when he netted the opening goal in the 60^th minute after Mo Salah’s assist. Only 5 minutes later, the Egyptian superstar of the Reds scored himself to double the lead and secure the 3 points for his team in the debut under Arne Slot.

The referee gave 8 additional minutes, but the home side failed to score and make it within 1 goal as the Reds kept the 2-goal lead comfortable.
