Liverpool took another step towards the Premier League title with a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad. Mohamed Salah played a decisive role, scoring the opening goal and assisting Dominik Szoboszlai for the second.
Liverpool now have 64 points from 27 matches and sit 11 points clear at the top. Arsenal, in second place, have a game in hand, while Manchester City are fourth with 44 points and now face a battle to secure a Champions League spot.
Salah opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his 25th league goal of the season. His powerful shot from the edge of the box took a deflection off Nathan Aké and found the back of the net past Ederson.

Szoboszlai doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 37th minute, taking advantage of poor defending from City. Salah found the unmarked Hungarian in the box, allowing him to easily slot the ball into the net.
City’s hopes of a fifth consecutive league title have diminished, while Liverpool continue to strengthen their grip on the top spot.
