Liverpool have accepted a bid to sell Fabio Carvalho to Brentford in a transfer worth 27.5 million pounds with bonuses.
The team from Anfield also negotiated a 17.5% sell-on clause as part of the transfer, which is around for an initial fee of about 20 million pounds.
The Reds inked the attacker from Fulham for 5 million pounds 2 years ago, and the Cottagers will receive 1/5 of the profit from his move to the Bees.
Fabio was also a target for the Saints, but the Reds rejected their bid – worth around 15 million pounds – because it fell significantly short of what they were willing to let the forward leave.
Carvalho played well during the Reds’ pre-season tour of the USA, netting in victories against the Gunners and the Red Devils.
Fabio spent the past campaign on loan at RB Leipzig and Hull City, netting 9 goals in 20 matches for the Championship team.
