The French team shared yesterday that they and previous manager Laurent Blanc had mutually agreed to a deal termination, with the team at the bottom of Ligue 1 after 4 games this campaign.
After the 4-1 defeat at home against PSG before the international break, the fans called out the players and demanded that they not disrespect the badge of such a huge team.
Another former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, had been offered the chance to replace Laurent, but Potter decided that this was not the right project for him at this time.
Lyon chief John Textor, who also has stakes at Crystal Palace, likes the former England international and Chelsea superstar very much. Frank has been linked with the Palace managerial position in the last year.
Lampard hasn’t managed since the end of the 2022/23 campaign, when his caretaker position at Chelsea ended, with Mauricio Pochettino becoming the Blues’ new permanent head coach.
