Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban said that he will file protest of the loss to the Warriors.

Dallas Mavericks lost by only 2 points, 127-125, against Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

However, Mavs owner Cuban said that he will file protest of Kevon Looney’s basket in the 3rd quarter after a timeout. Dallas thought they had the ball, which Mark considers the referee’s mistake.

The owner of the Mavericks said on Twitter that officials told him that Dallas had possession, resulting in a timeout.

Mark Cuban labeled it the “worst officiating non-call mistake possibly in the history of the NBA.”

The team needs to file the protest within 48 hours. Then the commissioner, Adam Silver, will make the final decision after collecting evidence from both teams.

Interestingly, the last time we had a successful protest in the NBA was back in January 2008.
