Medvedev breeze past qualifier to reach Madrid R16

Russia’s Daniil Medvedev qualified for Madrid Masters round of 16 after defeating qualifier Andrea Vavasori (Italy) 6: 4, 6:3.

Medvedev, who is ranked third in the world, is considered the biggest rival of Carlos Alcaraz, who is defending his title from Madrid last year.
