Erling Haaland played a crucial role in Manchester City’s triumphant season, securing major trophies such as the Champions League, English Premier League, and FA Cup.
Lionel Messi, the winner of the 2022 award, led Argentina to World Cup victory before claiming the Ligue 1 title with Paris St Germain alongside Kylian Mbappe. Subsequently, Messi made a move to the Major League Soccer team Inter Miami.
