Speaking after the victory, the British tennis player shared: “I probably won’t play for too long but I will give everything that I could in these several months.
“I still like competing and still like tennis, but it gets harder and harder to be at your best level the older you get, to keep your body competitive.”
Andy’s victory against the Canadian was his 2nd since the beginning of the year after Murray began the season in not the best way possible as he was defeated in his 1st 4 games.
The 3-time Grand Slam champ came from a set behind today to win vs. Denis 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-3. It marked the British 500th hard court victory in his tennis career.
Murray shared in the past that this campaign could be his last, sharing with the media at the Australian Open that it is a “definite possibility” that the British played his last game in Australia in his career after being eliminated from Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
