The basketball league commissioner, Adam Silver, revealed today that Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter, who is currently under probe by the NBA after multiple instances of gambling irregularities in the past few months, could be suspended from the NBA permanently if what he’s been investigated with is proven.
“I’m in a position to discipline players with an enormous range of things,” Adam shared today in the Big Apple after the NBA’s annual Board of Governors meetings at the end of the regular campaign were conducted over the prior day. “It is unacceptable what Porter is accused of in the league, and unfortunately if everything proves to be right I could ban him from playing basketball in our league ever again.”
