Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young received a $25,000 fine from the NBA on Saturday for confronting and using inappropriate language towards a game official.
The incident unfolded after the Hawks’ 114-113 home defeat to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
During the game’s closing moments, Young, who had scored 30 points, tripped at the top of the key while navigating between Mikak Bridges and Dennis Smith Jr.

In an attempt to salvage the play, Young launched an off-balance shot that ultimately missed the mark as the buzzer sounded. Frustrated by the lack of a foul call, Young voiced his displeasure, leading to the league’s decision to impose the fine.
