Jannik Sinner reaffirmed his status as the world’s top men’s player by clinching back-to-back Australian Open titles with a commanding victory over Alexander Zverev.
The Italian top seed delivered in crucial moments to secure a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win, showcasing his relentless baseline game, power, and mental resilience. Despite an ongoing doping case overshadowing his rival, Sinner remained unfazed, capturing his third Grand Slam title in dominant fashion.

The 23-year-old did not face a single break point against Zverev and dropped just two sets throughout his Melbourne Park campaign. He sealed the win with a composed cross-court winner, raising his hands in celebration before embracing his team.
Zverev, 27, struggled to find answers and became visibly frustrated. The loss makes him the sixth man in the Open era to lose his first three Grand Slam finals, having previously fallen short at the 2020 US Open and 2024 French Open.
After the game Zverev slumped into his chair devastated, covering his face with a towel, while Sinner greeted his team.
