Philadelphia 76ers leader Paul George sustained a hyperextended left knee at the beginning of the 2nd half of their 117-111 defeat against the Grizzlies in Memphis, and that was the last time that we saw him on the court.
Philly shared that the star will be tested further today as the problem is at the same knee that Paul suffered the same problem during the preseason. As a result, George did not play in the 1st 5 matches of the new campaign.
“The doctors told me that the problem is similar to the one that George had in the preseason,” the 76ers head coach revealed. “Paul was very close to returning to the floor, but I decided that the best option would be for him to rest until we know more about his problem.”
Paul George will have more tests for his left knee hyperextension tomorrow but Nick Nurse believes it is similar to what Paul had in the preseason, a bone bruise, and doesn’t believe there is structural damage. Paul missed 3 weeks with the last injury. https://t.co/0TNA8ny4JP

The problem marked the latest setback for Philadelphia as they had leaders George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey together in the starting team for the 1st time in the current campaign Tyrese returned after missing 6 matches because of a hamstring problem.
Paul left the match with just 2 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists for 17 minutes on the court before suffering the injury.
