Roman Josi netted two goals in the third period, extending the Nashville Predators’ point streak to 14 games with a 4-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night.
Tommy Novak and Filip Forsberg also found the back of the net, with Forsberg’s goal coming as an empty-netter in the final minutes. Mark Jankowski and Ryan McDonagh contributed with a pair of assists each for Nashville.
Juuse Saros stood tall in goal, making 23 saves to secure the victory as the Predators allowed two or fewer goals for the 11th time during their impressive 12-0-2 run, propelling them to the top of the Western Conference’s wild-card race.
Seattle’s lone goal came from Andre Burakovsky, who capitalized on a power play early in the third period to tie the game at 1-1. However, Josi quickly responded with a power-play goal of his own, followed by another goal later in the period to seal the win for Nashville.
The Predators initially took the lead in the first period when Tommy Novak’s pass deflected off a Kraken defenseman’s skate and into the net.
