The 38-year-old expressed his excitement about ending his career on this stage, as it brings his journey full circle—his first major triumph came in the 2004 Davis Cup final in Seville.
Nadal’s retirement follows a challenging period of injuries, which forced him to miss key tournaments, including the 2023 French Open.
His last Grand Slam victory was at the French Open in 2022, where he further cemented his legacy with a record-breaking 14 titles on the Parisian clay, boasting an incredible 112-4 win-loss record at Roland Garros.
The Davis Cup knockout phase will take place from November 19-24, marking the end of one of the most illustrious careers in tennis history.
